Region 8 show Bartlesville, OK 2004

Clyde and myself at Bartlesville, OK 2004
I had the opportunity to meet and chat with Clyde Harbin Sr. "The Bassman"®. Let me tell you Clyde is a character!! Does of us who were fortunate enough to meet him can attest to that. He told my oldest daughter and I some nice stories/history about the National Fishing Lure Collectors Club NFLCC, its' founders and the beginning of lure collecting. He also gladly autographed my Luckey's 6th edition book. It was a GREAT show for those of us who where able to attend. I had the opportunity to meet some nice folks like Randy Anderson, David Stalnaker, Casey Jones, Jim Muma, Dudley Murphy, Karl T. White, Frank Hansen, Layne Wilkerson, Andy Tindale and many more. Was also able to add some fine lures to my Heddon Spooks (plastics) collections. I believe this was Clyde's last show as he passed on shortly after that in March, 2004. Was told by Clyde Jr. (Bassman's son) that my book was the last one he signed.

Had a small get together at the house talked lures, ate dinner and talked some more lures! From left to right: Mario Garcia, Andy Sonnier, Larry Nicholson, Myself and my youngest daughter Sophia. For those of you who do not know Larry Nicholson, he is the man behind the color guides. His work has helped a ton of us identify lure colors from all major bait companies. Especially for us Heddon Tiny Torpedo collectors. Thanks for stopping by Larry! Let's do it again sometime.
